About Us
About us
Independence at home was established in 2019 by Vanessa Purvin. After working withing various health & social care sectors for the past 25 years I decided to put the best of my knowledge, experience, and skills into my own home care company.
Independence at home limited offers home care to individuals within their own homes, enabling them to remain at home for as long as they wish to. We do this by providing person centred care to each individual and adapting with their needs and requirements as they change over years to come.
We provide staff with training opportunities to enable them to develop in their learning and knowledge of the care sector.
Our Values
Independence at home limited prides itself on being caring, compassionate, empathetic, and kind. We respect our clients and want to help them to receive the best outcomes we possibly can while using our services.
We provide staff who are competent, we do this by ensuring we provide a high-quality induction to all staff and provide regular training to ensure our staff can deliver the services in a safe and effective manner. We embed a culture of openness and reflective practice to ensure we are continually learning and developing as a workforce.
Our communication is open, clear, and transparent with all clients and their significant others. The voice of our client is at the core of all we do. We also recognise the need to communicate effectively with partnership organisations and our own workforce so that the quality and safety of care is maintained.
We have courage to do the right thing for people in our care, to speak up and act when we have concerns. We are committed to embracing changes and new ways of working when needed.
We have a commitment in providing care that is individual to each of our clients and tailored to meet their unique needs and circumstances. We are flexible and adaptable when things change or needs increase, we are committed to always being there.
We offer support to not only our clients, but to their families and friends. We are always approachable and happy to listen, offering and providing support whenever possible.
