Springfield Care Centre

Springfield Care Centre is a purpose-built nursing home located in Ilford, within the London Borough of Redbridge. The home accommodates up to 80 residents and is rated ‘Good’ by the CQC, reflecting its commitment to delivering high-quality care.

The service provides specialist support for individuals with dementia, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and physical disabilities, including younger adults. Springfield also offers nursing care, short-stay services such as respite care, as well as rehabilitation and palliative care.

The home is divided into four units, each designed to provide a comfortable, safe, and supportive environment. All rooms are en suite and equipped with free WiFi, promoting both privacy and connectivity. Residents are also welcome to have pets, helping them feel more at home and supporting wellbeing through pet therapy and engagement in activities.

Springfield Care Centre is managed by Karen Faith De Pablo, who leads a dedicated team of registered general nurses, carers, and activity coordinators. Staff members speak a variety of languages, including English, French, Punjabi, Gujarati, and Urdu, ensuring effective communication and culturally sensitive care.

The home features two accessible garden areas, including a terrace garden, a front pond, and raised flower beds suitable for wheelchair users. Residents can take part in a wide range of activities designed to promote social engagement and wellbeing, including bingo, board games, visiting entertainers, outdoor activities, community leave, and organised trips. Seasonal events such as fetes and fundraisers are also held throughout the year.

Meals are prepared by an on-site head chef and kitchen team, ensuring that all nutritional and dietary needs are met. Each unit includes a communal lounge and dining area, supported by dedicated laundry and maintenance services to ensure the smooth running of the home.

Conveniently located, Springfield Care Centre benefits from nearby transport links, local shops, parks, Ilford town centre, a cinema, and leisure facilities. Where appropriate, residents are supported to access the community, including visits to local day centres and outings with family or staff.

The home offers flexible visiting arrangements, with no set weekday visiting hours and weekend visits welcomed. Registered nurses are available on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
