MHA provide personal care for those who wish to purchase this from MHA care and support team. This is charged by Leeds City Council.
Assisi Place is an independent living scheme with extra care, we accept people who are 55 years and over and either with a care package or with future care needs, primarily our care packages and allocation for housing are with Leeds City Council Adult Social Care how ever MHA do have nomination rights for 11 apartments out side of Leeds city council allocation.
We are a domiciliary care service and we can provide care packages for people the same as they would receive in their own home, the apartments are not furnished and this is the tenants responsibility on accepting a tenancy with MHA.
Care staff are based on site 24/7 and a part time activity coordinator how ever they are usually in planned care calls but can be available for any unplanned responses via the wellbeing service MHA provide for emergency support, please be mindful we do not provide 24hr care services.
Residents have their own fobs and key access for the scheme and for their apartment front door, please be aware the scheme is not a secure unit.
Although MHA can support with mild learning disabilities, dementia and Alzheimer's please be aware Assisi Place is not a specialized scheme specific for this type of care and support.
Assisi Place does provide additional support services independently form Leeds City Council Adult Social care and these can be discussed and arranged with the housing and care team during pre assessment.
You do not need to make an appointment to come visit the scheme, how ever should you wish to have specific time for any general enquiries it would be best to ring first and arrange an appointment and to avoid specific times of day when care staff and housing staff are busy or protected meal times.
