Each client is supported by a dedicated team to promote continuity of care, consistency, and the development of trusting therapeutic relationships. At Starcover, our approach is underpinned by the core values of compassion, respect, dignity, and person-centered care. Registered nurses provide clinical supervision, governance, and oversight for carers and support workers delivering home-based complex care to individuals with ongoing and complex physical or mental health needs, enabling them to live safely and independently within their own homes wherever possible.

Our services include supporting individuals following hospital discharge, promoting independence and rehabilitation, delivering end-of-life and palliative care, and supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, while encouraging meaningful community engagement and social inclusion. The service works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including GPs, community nurses, therapists, and specialist services, to ensure coordinated care, optimize health outcomes, and help prevent avoidable hospital admissions.

The service utilizes an electronic care planning and monitoring system (Birdie) to record and oversee care delivery, including medication management, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and real-time oversight. The family or any individual who has got LPA for health will have access to the care notes on request.

Starcover Health and Social Care operates within defined geographical areas to ensure the safe, effective, and responsive delivery of care and treatment. The service is currently provided within:

Leeds
West Yorkshire and surrounding areas
North Yorkshire and surrounding areas

Support is delivered through a combination of hourly domiciliary care visits and live-in care packages, based on individual needs and assessed risks.

However, for live-in care packages we can cover nation wide.

Bespoke Training for Carers and Support Workers

At Starcover Health & Social Care Ltd, our carers and support workers receive bespoke training tailored to the specific needs of each individual before they begin providing care. This ensures that every member of our team fully understands the requirements, preferences, and risks associated with each client, allowing them to deliver safe, personalized, and high-quality care from day one.

Bespoke training is also provided whenever there are changes to an individual’s care or support needs. This allows staff to stay up-to-date with any adjustments, such as new medical conditions, mobility requirements, behavioural support needs, or personal preferences. By providing training that is specific to the person they are supporting, our carers can respond confidently, safely, and compassionately to every situation, ensuring continuity of care and maintaining the trust of our clients. This approach demonstrates our commitment to person-centered care, professional development, and ongoing quality assurance in all aspects of service delivery.
