About Us
Shifa Health & Social Care aims to provide compassionate care and support for people who cannot wholly look after themselves in line with their care and support needs as defined by and usually assessed by the Local Authority under the Care Act 2014.
Our care and support could involve both regulated activity under the heading of personal care as defined by the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and unregulated activity in the form of help with general household activities such as cleaning and tidying, shopping or help with escorting to engagements and appointments, companionship and respite “sitting” services.
We will provide our services at times convenient to people and in line with their wishes and needs. We have sound values and principles to drive our service. Central to these is our belief that the rights of people who use services are paramount.
Our aims and objectives is to assist our service users to live more independently by allowing them to become active in the local community, we do this by creating a Person Centred Care & Support Plan, which then focuses entirely on the service users health and well being, interests and hobbies, supported by our highly trained and qualified care and support staff.
Service users are encouraged to take up activities of their choice. Work experience opportunities are also arranged for service users, such as, working in local charity shops and local businesses, giving service users first hand experience of work environments and dealing with people. This greatly increases their confidence allowing them to feel part of the community thus enabling them to lead a more interesting, more enjoyable and more valued lifestyle.
