About Us
Yad Voezer 1 is a warm and welcoming residential care home in Hackney, supporting adults with a range of needs including learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and physical disabilities. The home provides accommodation with personal care in a safe, structured and homely environment, enabling residents to live with dignity, independence and purpose.
The service is a small, person-centred home with around 10 beds, allowing for tailored support and strong relationships between staff and residents. Care is delivered by a dedicated team who know each individual well, ensuring that support plans reflect personal preferences, communication needs, and goals for independence.
Residents receive support with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, health needs, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing. The home works closely with healthcare professionals and families to ensure a holistic approach, while promoting choice, control, and inclusion in everyday life.
The environment is designed to feel like a true home, with comfortable living spaces and a calm atmosphere. Residents are encouraged to take part in meaningful activities both within the home and in the wider community, helping them to build confidence, develop life skills, and maintain social connections.
A key part of the Yad Voezer model is access to its specialist day centre, where residents attend structured daytime programmes. These include creative activities, music, exercise, life-skills development, and social opportunities tailored to individuals with disabilities. The day centre plays an important role in enhancing wellbeing, reducing isolation, and giving residents a sense of routine and achievement.
As a Jewish organisation, Yad Voezer ensures that residents’ cultural and religious needs are fully respected. Individuals are supported to observe their faith, celebrate festivals, and maintain their identity within a familiar and meaningful environment.
Overall, Yad Voezer’s residential provision offers high-quality, compassionate care in a setting that prioritises independence, community integration, and a strong sense of belonging.
