About Us
Meadowside is a small, family run residential care home for the elderly, situated on the outskirts of Marlow town centre. It is housed in an elegant, detached, Edwardian property which has been carefully converted with regard for the special needs of elderly people. Accommodation is available for up to fourteen residents; a small number which enables staff to provide the utmost personal care and attention to each and every resident in a homely and happy family-like atmosphere.
It has a 'Good' rating from the CQC with a 5 star kitchen hygiene rating too. Care can be provided for those with dementia. Meadowside Residential Care Home also offers the following short stay services; respite care
The building and all rooms are wheelchair accessible, and there is a full passenger lift to the first floor. The rooms are pleasantly decorated, generous in size and comfortably furnished according to each resident’s wishes. Typically, rooms include bedside and ceiling lighting, television as well as adjustable central heating and nurse-call system. All rooms are equipped with private, fully enclosed ensuite facilities consisting of a toilet and vanity basin. Some rooms have shower/bath facilities. The premises conform to current fire, health and safety regulations.
Meadowside is committed to ensure that all staff have ongoing training, thus building on their already wide range of experience and skills. There are always three care staff on duty on an early shift, two care staff on a late shift and at night. There is a robust management structure to support care staff with “on call” support when needed. Our dedicated group of carers provide high-quality, person-centred care as required of the latest regularity standards. There is a wide variety of nutritious and tasty food, and the in-house laundry ensures a fast and effective turnaround of residents’ clothes. In house activities provide opportunities for participation in a range of relevant activities which promote residents’ social and emotional well-being. This includes a range of external outings and trips. Additional services available include: a visiting unisex Hairdresser, a Chiropodist, daily newspaper among other things.
