Hanslope Care is a domiciialry service that specialises in complex care.
In 2025 we successfully widened our service categories to bring sincere meaning to equality of opportunity.
Our mission remains; to improve outcomes for all people with complex care needs.
The addition to include The Treatment of injury, disease and disorder, TDDI is in response to current clients that have struggled to continue managing their known and stable longterm conditions independently and have requested continuity of service, or have had to cope with a new condition and have asked for support.
Our enquiries with NENE ICB commissioning clarified need and relevance. As TDDI approach aims to manage symptoms and reduce hospital admission, TDDI forms a natual part of our mission to improve outcomes and offer person centred service.
It is important to note that this service operates within clearly defined limits to ensure that all care provided under TDDI is safe, appropriate, and effectively overseen. We have outlined scope in a document for clients, their familes and commissioners.
We recognise that clients who fall into several of the ‘categories’ above are more likely to require a health care approach, to have protected characterisitcs, and to need specialist support from well trained Health Care Assistants. Resultantly, Hanslope Care is committed to systems and innovation designed to ensure ways of working are safe and effective, particularly when undertaking delegated tasks from nursing professionals in receipt of an active PIN number.
It is our finding that complex clients seem to be more likely to have had negative experience of care services in the past creating distrust, and are more likely to require a positive safeguarding attitude with a pro-active approach. This means we seek out and sincerely welcome lessons learnt to drive improvement and reinforce trust.
To overcome barriers for people with SEN we will continue to offer the right support at the right time, we do this by listening and learning from those with lived experience.
All the services we offer have been shaped by the very communities we aim to support. We will continue to actively seek out guidance from experts by experience to include charities, foundational groups, local schools, NHS colleagues and local support groups with the aim to translate best pracise downstream to our clients.
As patient involvement and engagement is important to our ethos we have continued to seek advice, feedback and training from our critical friends, The Carers Group (Hanslope Church), Forever Colours Children’ Hospice, The Redway School, Helen and Douglas House, Furze House, Cynthia Spencer Hospice, The John Radcliffe and Romansfield school. This list is not exhaustive, we are always happy to pursue other links in accordance with the best interests of our client base for a tailored person centred approach.
All our services include the assistance to live well and with dignity.
Support services include washing and dressing 24/7.
1.We are complex healthcare specialists and support adults and children with long term health conditions that often result in co-morbidities over time.
2. We aim to understand needs, wishes and aims of all for a service focused on
personalisation.
3. For families with children on the cusp of leaving school, we are able to offer transition services, working closely with you, your SEN and commissioning body we can help ensure a smooth change to adult services by creating a bespoke plan that suits your situation and requirements. Please note we are task focused servive and do not offer play therapy.
4. Hanslope Care welcomes people that require behavioural support. We follow the
guidance published by the challenging behaviour foundation. We work on the
principle that all behaviour happens for a reason, and that by working togther we can
improve outcomes to ensure social inclusion; our preference is that all social support
is ‘single crewed’ where possible, and this is something we are happy to work towards
following a preagreed PBS plan.
Our team are Team Teach trained, with affiliation with Romansfiled School, Bletchley. This enables us to complement techniques used within the majority of schools and then continue with these techniques for continuity.
This approach enables a fruitful CIN as we can join with schools to create the best possible PBS plan that is relevant inside and outside of term time.
5. We offer companion support to clients that have complex healthcare needs. We are
able to offer the right support whether this is a shopping trip, or outing to garden
centre for adults over 65, or woodland walks for the autistic person.
6. We are happy to listen to your needs and wishes and work together for meaningful
activities for all.
7. We can provide swimming support for adults and children with disbilities as part of a healthy lifestyleplan. This is something often recommended by diabetic professionals.
