About Us

Step One Services Ltd. is a family led, small and quality Health & Social care provider. Established for 32 years continues to serve the Community of Teignbridge. The Management team take pride in their cohesive work ethic to provide open and transparent person-centred support to the team of 9 care/support workers to provide a CQC - Good provision of care and support to those aiming to live independently in their own home with personal care or enabling, also we can support you if you live in a care home or supported living accommodation. The Management team comprise of a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Quality & Compliance Manager, supported by the Company Secretary. Their work is defined by using CareVitals (electronic system) for care and weekly Rostering, regular auditing of visits, daily - weekly reviews of every visit, in compliance to the Guidance of CQC. We have a good recruitment process and continue to review and develop Service user assessments, Policies and Procedures, full training is provided for all care/enabling workers and managers alike. It also promotes their open-door policy to all our care/enabling support workers, service users and their families, to enable and enjoy a community of trust and clear communication.
Step One Services ltd. Established its provision in 1994 with a unique Day Centre, this continues today led by two fully trained support workers. This provision still enables service users to enjoy friendly social interaction, meal planning, preparation and cooking, games, a good range of crafts and art, numeracy and literacy activities, group exercises, music and games as well as allowing those who wish to spend their time with a quieter, more individual choice of time spent with us. Every person-centred need is valued and met, and we offer a free taster session for you to choose a half or full day. We can also supply transport to and from the Day Centre.
Our support workers/carers are provided with regular supervision, full training, DBS certificate, Pension scheme ......
Step One Services Limited is a family, so why not be part of it either working for us or us supporting you at home or in the community. Life is about having fun, laughing enjoying and seeing the world for all the good it can offer.
If you unsure of the service, you or a love one need call into the office or phone us so we can help find the right care whether it is with us or someone else. We have an open-door policy for all so we can help local people in our community.
We are not fancy or chase awards because the biggest award is making sure people have the right support and enjoying life to the full.
