About Us
Walfinch Home Care Newcastle provides premium care at home across North Tyneside and nearby areas, helping people stay safe, independent and comfortable in their own home. We’re based in North Shields and regularly support families in Whitley Bay, Tynemouth, Cullercoats, Monkseaton, Preston and surrounding communities, as well as Newcastle, Gateshead and South Tyneside.
We are proudly CQC-rated Good and known for a friendly, professional service, clear communication, and reliable care delivery. Families often come to us when they want reassurance, consistency and a provider that does what they say they will do.
Our support can include personal care and daily routines, companionship and wellbeing support, meal preparation and hydration, shopping and errands, and help getting out and about. We also support people living with dementia, Parkinson’s and other long-term conditions, and can provide medication support in line with an agreed care plan, including time-critical routines where appropriate.
To keep care organised and families informed, we use a digital care management system that records visit times and care notes clearly and consistently. With consent, families can check in remotely on visits and see updates, which gives added peace of mind. Where suitable, we can also support simple wellbeing monitoring at home using NHS-grade equipment, to provide extra reassurance between visits.
Our approach is about helping people live well at home, not just completing tasks, and we also run Thrive Club, a free local community group for older adults to enjoy a cuppa, a chat and a bit of company.
If you’d like a no-pressure conversation or to arrange a care assessment, we’re happy to help.
