Dovecote is located in the heart of Beeston, Nottingham. The home is within walking distance of Beeston town centre giving access to a number of shops, leisure and educational facilities, eateries and community groups. Nearby green spaces can provide space for exercise and tranquility such as Highfields Park, Attenborough Nature Reserve, Dovecote Lane Recreation Ground and Beeston Marina. There are also good transport links to Nottingham and Derby. Individuals living at Dovecote can therefore easily access, and be part of the local community, with support from staff where required.

Dovecote, remodelled in late 2018, has been completed to a high standard of accommodation, with a contemporary and calming atmosphere. Dovecote has a modern homely feel which emphasises Aspire’s ethos of recovery and rehabilitation. Dovecote is a supportive space, with all the comforts of home and facilities for relaxation and recreation. On the ground floor there is a spacious communal area incorporating the dining room with direct access to a purpose-built kitchen, perfect for a variety of
group activities, special events and day to day socialising. Across from the communal lounge is a second kitchen, equipped for baking groups and self-catering training. Individuals can also spend time in the Quiet Lounge, a therapeutic space offering peace and privacy. The spacious garden at Dovecote, wrapping around three sides of the house, contains sheltered outdoor spaces, a large pond, and raised beds for growing fruits and vegetables.
Dovecote contains 15 bedrooms which are light and spacious and each have an en-suite bathroom.
Following a referral to Dovecote, an assessment will be arranged and undertaken by the Dovecote management team. They will provide feedback on whether they feel Dovecote will be able to meet the needs of the individual. A proposal of care will then be submitted and if the individual and their care team are happy to proceed, admission and transition plans will be agreed.
Individuals living in Dovecote are empowered to develop or regain key life skills and coping mechanisms. The service focuses on community based activities, the use of public transport, education, work experience, job placements and the development of hobbies and interests.
