About Us

Sandiacre Court Care Home, located in Sandiacre, Nottinghamshire (NG10 5GT), is a warm and welcoming purpose-built home run by Hudson Healthcare. Perched on the crest of Sandiacre Hill, it offers beautiful views over the Erewash Valley — a tranquil and uplifting setting for residents.

Inside, Sandiacre Court accommodates up to 81 residents across three floors, offering a blend of nursing care, residential living, dementia support, and respite stay options.

Each private en-suite room can be personalised with residents’ own belongings, helping to create a real sense of home.

Common areas include comfortable lounges on every floor, cozy dining spaces, a café-style area, and a secure garden with mature trees for rest and reflection.

But life here is far from quiet — the home buzzes with activity, support, and companionship. The care team, led by Manager Donna Evans, is committed to person-centred care: they design bespoke care plans, encourage independence, and nurture a tight-knit, friendly community.

Activities at Sandiacre Court are rich, varied, and clearly tailored to bring joy, connection, and creativity to residents’ lives. On their Facebook page, you’ll see regular updates showing the heart of daily life here.

Here are some highlights:

Art therapy: In one touching Facebook video, a new resident joins a painting session, chatting about the past while creating beautiful watercolour pieces.

Their art classes are often run with the support of Creative Paths CIC, a local charity, who lead sessions that not only spark creativity but also reminiscence.

Music & Hymns: Hymn sessions with a singer called Trish are “always popular,” according to their page, bringing together faith, memory, and community in song.

Celebrations & Milestones: Birthdays are a big deal — the staff and fellow residents gather to celebrate, cake and smiles included.

Animal visits: Their garden has seen fluffy rabbits, birds of prey, and even more unusual creatures from touring animal visitors, delighting residents and stirring joyful memories.

Fitness & Wellbeing: G-Fitness sessions have been held on-site, giving residents a gentle, fun workout — in one video, their footwork is described as “impressive.”

Volunteering & Companionship: The home recently welcomed Joanne, a volunteer who has personal experience with dementia, to help support and connect with residents
