Overview

Alexandra Rose Residential Care Home is a home in the Farlington area of Portsmouth, which can accommodate 25 residents - it has a 'Good' rating from the CQC.
Our home is not a purpose built structure. This is a home not a hospital.
We have however added all of the state-of-the-art facilities such as the latest bathing equipment, a hair/beauty salon, even a bar!
Matched with dedicated and caring staff that are fully trained, we believe that you have now found the right home that you would be pleased to stay in.

Our Accommodation.
This is your home. Our rooms are decorated and furnished to a high standard, including flat screen televisions. You are free to bring in your own possessions to make your room more comfortable and for more of a home from home environment.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We have a formal dining area, or you can dine in your room. Your choice. Our chefs specialise in the creation of varied meals using fresh produce, with a ‘made at home’ taste. Morning coffee, pre-luncheon sherry and afternoon teas are served on a daily basis. Dietary requirements and requests are welcome.

Extra help to meet your needs.
Facilities also include a hair and beauty salon, and a bar. Our home has the latest showers, baths, lifts, and hoists. All provided for your convenience and to aid with your care.

Your well-being comes first.
Stimulating activities are organised on both a weekly and daily basis and at all times being respectful of your wishes and your privacy. There are a variety of singers, musicians and entertainers visiting the home. Weather permitting you are always welcome in the garden.

Involvement & information.
You are our priority. You decide whether to make Alexandra Rose either your permanent home, or for a short period of convalescence, or just to have a break from your own home. You are involved on day one, and will be given all the care, reassurance and information required for your own wellbeing and quality of life.

Personalised care, treatment & support.
Prior to your arrival you will be assessed and given the appropriate care plan to meet your needs and support your wellbeing and health. The care provided is designed to build your own strengths and wishes, and constantly seeks to improve your quality of life. We will meet all of your needs including your dietary requirements, your personal wishes and your beliefs.
A care plan is formed on arrival along with an induction and introduction to the home. Residents and their family or representatives are invited to participate in developing care plans and attending any reviews held. Residents and their representative may see care plans at all reasonable times in arrangement with the manager.
Once developed, the Care Plan will be reviewed regularly to ensure that it is meeting the resident’s needs. Family and relatives will be encouraged to participate in residents’ daily routine, as far as is practicable. There are frequent ‘Friends and Family’ meetings in which you are invited to relay your thoughts and, if any, complaints.

Safeguarding & Safety.
Our home is state of the art with its environment, its facilities, its fire and call bell system, and its equipment. Your safety is in hand at Alexandra Rose. All of our staff are trained and have an on going update in place. You will be respected, cared for and catered for in a clean and up to date home.
