About Us

Our care staff teams promote and maintain a person’s independence as much as possible, with the starting point being an assessment of what they are able to do for themselves principle includes an assessment of risk to the service user (Customer), to identify risks and to ensure that appropriate positive risk taking by the individual have been also identified. This is in line with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities)

Our main objective is to help develop customers living skills, help integrate and become part of their community and promote Independence to the point of reducing the number of hours required. Heron Care acknowledges this as an achievable outcome within a time frame, agreed by a multi-disciplinary team.


Heron Care is Dedicated to the Partnerships it as created within its communities, from local authorities, NHS, Integrated care systems Voluntary Organisations, and other agencies. We are transparent in what we do and are always willing to share and pass on any knowledge or information for which may be relevant to third parties. We champion local charities such as Willowbrook Hospice and write regularly regarding their activities in our Quarterly Newsletters, for which all contributors to Heron Care receive. Through our Newsletters we offer information To What Is Going On within the community, and regularly include articles on being Environmentally Friendly, Energy Saving, and Financial Advice.

Heron Care provides a tailored and person-centred service to all customers we provide a service to. We do this on request to provide a service for personalised community care service by meeting the customers, family member or guardian to assess care needs, personal needs, social and community access needs, diet and religious beliefs. All aspects of our assessment are formulated into a plan of care, each step is overseen by the service user or in the case of lack of capacity main carer or guardian, this is to make the plan unique to each individual who use Heron Care and make the times suitable for the provision of the service to take place at the times that are requested by the service user so activities in the community can be arranged i.e. family functions, doctor or hospital appointments are attended, any personal care needs assessed to ensure personal dignity and respect of the service user are met. If the service user cannot leave their home for any reason Heron Care do walk pets, provide services where the care/support staff will carry out light cleaning duties, laundry, small DIY if health and safety regulations permit, do service user shopping and return all receipts plus keep accurate records of what was spent by them and from where.
