About Us
Introducing Hennel Lane
Hennel Lane is an active and vibrant service which promotes independent living skills in a spacious residential care home. We support young adults with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that may challenge, and staff work closely with the people we support, their families and local commissioners to ensure there is a planned and safe transition into the service, and a person-centred approach to enable the individuals we support to reach their full potential, living full and active lives.
The staff are trained in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and MAPA (Management of Actual or Potential Aggression) which is delivered by a CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) in-house trainer, to ensure people can be supported safely and with dignity and respect in situations which they may find challenging. The training provides the staff team with positive strategies for dealing with difficult situations. The service encourages and develops positive behaviour through proactive strategies to increase choice, control and independence.
