The Home provide specific support packages, tailored to meet individual needs, with the focus on developing life skills to enable independence. With focused person-centred planning and regular reviews, we are able to ensure that the appropriate level of support is provided to meet short- and long-term goals. One to one support is available and established through thorough assessment. Since 2019 we have been practicing the Recovery Journey Project based on the recovery model in mental health care, which is a holistic, person-centred approach to mental health care.
The recovery process provides a holistic view of people with mental illness that focuses on the person not just their symptoms.
We understand how important it is to remember that a person requiring care should be treated as an individual. We encourage our residents to personalise their bedrooms so that they feel comfortable and at home.
Our approach to care is to recognise that residents will have their own experiences of life, their own needs and feelings, likes and dislikes.
