Overview
At Dryad Spinney, we provide a positive and motivating home environment for five young people with Prader-Willi syndrome, epilepsy, autism and Down's syndrome.
We have five bedrooms each with their own shower room or wet room – there is also a separate communal bathroom. We have a spacious kitchen-diner and two lounge areas. The garden surrounding the house is generous and incorporates a large sunken trampoline, enabling the people we support to remain active within the grounds of the property. Our home has a patio area equipped with a picnic bench where lunch and dinner is often enjoyed in the summer months. We encourage the people we support to personalise their bedrooms – themes can vary from Marvel super heroes to a variety of football teams.
Dryad Spinney is located on the edge of the New Forest in a desirable location within Blackfield, convenient for local shops, bus services and the extensive New Forest national park. It is a two mile rural walk to Lepe Beach, ideally suited for those who enjoy physical activities. Activities further afield are facilitated by our two house vehicles.
