About Us
Taylor Made Care aims to provide a high quality; safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led service that will offer care and support to adults with a learning disability and or autistic spectrum condition, sensory impairments and physical disabilities within the Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council.
Our objectives are to deliver a service that is citizen led, and person centred, provided according to individually assessed support needs which inform a care and support plan that empowers citizens to achieve positive outcomes.
The registered manager has over a decade of experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and or autistic spectrum condition, sensory impairments, and physical disabilities.
Taylor Made Care believes in providing highly motivated, competent, and well-trained staff to provide care and support to citizens using our service.
We complete a rigorous safe recruitment and selection process which citizens will be involved in, where appropriate and with their consent. Recruitment and selection will be in line with equality of opportunities and safer recruitment principles.
The offer of employment will be dependent on receipt of two satisfactory references, one from a current employer and subject to an advanced disclosure under the Disclosure and Barring Service. Before working unsupervised any new staff will shadow an experienced staff member. When the new member of staff has completed their induction under the Care Certificate competency guidelines and that citizens demonstrate that they feel confident with their support, they will be permitted to work unsupervised. Professional competency-based supervision will be provided on a regular basis.
Taylor Made Care will retain a complete record of each staff member’s credentials; qualifications, training and experience gained to progress their continual professional development and monitoring their skills are in line with current guidelines and standards.
We will encourage and support our staff members to gain higher nationally recognised qualifications to aid and improve service delivery. Staff records, which will have limited access for confidentiality purposes, will be stored securely in the organisation’s head office. Similarly, citizens records will be stored securely at the organisation's head office. Taylor Made Care will adhere to information governance guidelines and the General Data Protection Regulations.
The staff team has the relevant experience in this area of specialist social care and future staff will be recruited that have the required skill set to support the organisation’s aims and objectives.
The director’s and registered manager of Taylor Made Care will be actively involved in the provision of service, working with a team of well-trained staff. The registered manager and deputy manager have QCF5 in Leadership and Management for Social Care with many years care experience.
The organisation is supported by a professional health and social care consultancy with HCPC registered staff and a wide range of experience in regulated services and quality assurance. Similarly, the training will be provided by a SET member organisation to prescribed Skills for Care competency frameworks.
The purpose of Taylor Made Care is to provide high quality care, delivered in a person-centred way. Care and support packages will be risk positive, individually tailored, and unique in their delivery with the primary focus on the well-being of each individual. The support provided will be flexible and adapt as needs change in order that citizens may strive for new challenges and adventures.
Our goal is to provide care and support within a holistic model, considering every one of the citizens, abilities and choices. Every aspect of an individual’s support package will be closely monitored, challenged, and progressed in its delivery to provide a pro-active, forward thinking, and futureproof service.
