About Us
The Bungalow is a small residential care home that provides personal care and support for up to four people with learning disabilities and mental health needs. The small size of the service creates a warm, homely, and welcoming environment where people receive personalised care tailored to their individual needs and preferences.
Some people are supported on a one-to-one basis throughout the day, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of support to promote their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life. All staff have a thorough knowledge and understanding of each person they support, including their history, communication needs, preferences, routines, goals, and individual risks.
Staff are fully trained in learning disabilities, mental health, safeguarding, medication administration, positive behaviour support, and other mandatory training. This enables them to provide safe, effective, and person-centred care that is responsive to each individual's needs.
The Bungalow is committed to a person-centred approach, placing people at the heart of all decisions about their care and support. Individuals are encouraged to make choices, maintain independence, develop life skills, and participate in activities that are meaningful to them.
Benefits of living at The Bungalow include:
A safe, comfortable, and homely environment.
Consistent support from a small team of familiar staff who know each person well.
Personalised care plans tailored to individual needs, preferences, and goals.
