Overview
Parkfield House Nursing Home is an elegant, listed building that has been carefully converted into a delightful nursing home in the quiet, but easily accessible, residential area of Hillingdon in West London.
Parkfield House, which has a CQC rating of ‘good’ overall with ‘outstanding’ in the responsive category, has ensuite accommodation for 44 residents spread over three floors. Each room is equipped with an adjustable automatic bed with a handset control for additional comfort, a wardrobe, lockable bedside cabinet, chest of drawers/dressing table, cosy armchair, a nurse-call system, TV and free Wi-Fi. All our bright, comfortable rooms are well ventilated and have controllable under-floor heating to help get the temperature just right. Rooms vary in size and shape depending on where they are in the home, and each has its own character, ready for residents to personalise it with their own possessions – photos, mementoes and perhaps some favourite items of furniture.
Our nursing care residents live on the ground floor while we provide nursing and more specialist care on our first floor to residents living with dementia. Our third floor is an especially peaceful and calm environment for residents who receive nursing with palliative care. Our staff are highly trained and experienced, and our genuine passion for caring for people is very much appreciated by our residents and their relatives.
We understand the importance of a welcoming environment and the impact it has on our residents’ emotional wellbeing, so in addition to all the advanced facilities you would expect from a modern care facility, we are proud to have created a warm and homely feel that can be felt from the moment someone walks through the door.
Everything we do – from our care and menu planning to our activities sessions and surveying residents, families and professional contacts for feedback – is designed to maximise all our residents’ wellbeing and quality of life.
