Callands Care Home is a large, welcoming care home in Warrington and part of the Dovehaven family of care homes. Designed to feel calm, personal and familiar, the home is thoughtfully organised into smaller household-style living areas, helping residents feel secure, supported and part of a close-knit community.
Residents are supported in comfortable en-suite bedrooms, which can be personalised with their own belongings to help create a sense of home. Communal lounges, dining areas and outdoor spaces provide plenty of opportunities for relaxation, socialising and spending time with family and friends.
Callands offers a wide range of care services that can adapt as needs change, including residential care, nursing care and specialist care. The experienced teams work closely with residents and their families to create personalised care plans that reflect individual needs, routines and life experiences. Warm, sociable mealtimes and meaningful daily activities are central to life at Callands, supporting wellbeing, independence and choice.
Inside Callands, the Coniston unit is a dedicated male-only unit, providing support for men aged 21 and over. The unit offers both dementia care and specialist care, supporting individuals with more complex needs in a safe, structured and supportive environment.
Care within Coniston is delivered by a skilled and compassionate team who understand the importance of routine, familiarity and positive relationships. Support is personalised to each individual, focusing on dignity, respect and quality of life, while promoting independence wherever possible. Coniston benefits from its own communal spaces, allowing residents to feel comfortable, settled and part of the community, while still having access to wider facilities and services available at Callands Care Home.
