About Us
Lyndhurst Park is a multi-award-winning small family run nursing home. Set in the heart of Weston-Super-Mare centre, the seafront promenade is only 100 metres away, with two idyllic parks, cafe and bowling green being a gentle 2 minutes’ walk away. Local shops, post office, doctor’s surgery & churches are all within a few minutes stroll.
On entering Lyndhurst Park, the atmosphere is immediately one of warmth and homeliness. Every effort has been made to create an ambience of friendship and care that allows the residents the security and comfort that we all seek.
Lyndhurst Park’s location and hospitable atmosphere lends itself to clients wishing respite or advanced and end of life care. If you are wanting a large hotel-style nursing home with hustle and bustle, then Lyndhurst may not be the place for you. We aim at Lyndhurst to have an air of serenity, with an ethos of informality between staff, clients and their families. Because it is one of the smallest nursing homes in the county, every bedroom is not far from a member of staff which is essential when the client requires that additional attentive care and nurse monitoring.
Staffing ratios are kept high and this reflects again the care many of our clients require. Every room has a wall-mounted television All rooms are carpeted and equipped with an electric high/low adjustable bed and a nurse-call system is fitted to ensure safety at all times Residents are invited to bring their favourite ornaments, pictures, plants etc, to enhance the personalised ‘my home’ atmosphere. The home is provided with two passenger lifts, full central heating, fire detection system, free personal laundry service & mobile pay - phone facilities.
Lyndhurst Park has two lounges offering different ambiences. All dietary needs and preferences are catered for. As our meals are cooked fresh daily in our own kitchen, should at the last minute you prefer a simple omelette or salad, our cooks are always happy to accommodate. For those who have a healthy appetite, our meals are amply portioned. The pride we take in our kitchen is reflected by the 5 star hygiene rating awarded by North Somerset Council.
Our fees are reliant on several factors that can relate to the size of bedroom and to the level of care required. Each prospective client is individually assessed by our manager or senior member of our nursing staff which ensures that everyone receives the right level of nursing care and specialist equipment. Please feel free to get in touch for any questions or enquiries. We also welcome visits to the home if you would like to take a look around and meet some of the team.
