About Us
Manor Park Care Home is a 68 bed Nursing Home in Weston-Super-Mare. We provide specialist care for people living with dementia, Mental Health conditions as well as Nursing Care. We also provide care for those requiring respite or palliative care. We are registered to accept adults over and under the age of 65 years old. We are situated close to both the sea front and the town centre.
As a family-run home we have been providing nursing care to the community in and around Weston-Super-Mare since 2006. Our ethos is to enhance each resident’s quality of life and ensure everyone has a purpose, no matter how big or small because feeling valued is a crucial part of care.
The accommodation is provided in 68 single rooms, most of which have an en-suite, however should it be required following an assessment there is a potential of being able to offer a shared room if the need arose. The accommodation complies with the National Standards that came into force from the 1st April 2002. The home maintains a close working relationship with the community, family and friends, and other members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team such as; General Practitioners (GP), Dentists, Opticians, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
Our Aim is to provide all people living at Manor Park with a life that is as normal as possible, given their individual health and care needs.
Using Person Centred Software (PCS), which is a computerised, state of the art, care planning documentation system, a detailed plan of care is drawn up. This is to pinpoint the special areas of need, care and additional supportive care needs of every individual.
This will include the person and relatives wishes, and by working in close contact with the Social Worker, the GP, local hospital and utilising other services available; we can provide the right and best care for each individual person.
Although from time-to-time acute treatment may have to be sought from the hospital, all other care will be provided through to, and including End of Life care, in a comfortable, homely surroundings, where relatives will be welcome at all times. Our objective is simple; to provide the highest quality care in the best possible environment. The team will always ensure that they focus on the individual’s abilities, rather than their disabilities.
We seek to offer skilful and sensitive management for people who need nursing care. We are inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and North Somerset contract and compliance and we strive to establish and maintain high standards of care. We will do this in a supportive and homely environment where people that live here can feel safe and secure.
Manor Park Care Home will comply with the principles of the Mental Capacity Act (2005), by first treating all of our individuals on the basis that they are able to make their own decisions. With support from external agencies, including families or Next of Kin, Best Interests discussions and meetings will support the people living at Manor Park to make decision if they lack capacity.
Person Focus
