About Us
AJ & Friends C.I.C. is an Outstanding‑rated, not‑for‑profit provider of specialist community and domiciliary support based in Hoylake, Wirral.
We work with children, young people and adults with additional and complex needs, including autism, learning disability, mental health needs, sensory and emotional regulation differences, and behaviour that challenges. Our services are designed to support individuals and families in everyday settings, with a strong focus on safety, consistency and relationships.
AJ & Friends is inspected and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and was awarded an overall “Outstanding” rating, including Outstanding in Caring and Outstanding in Well‑led, recognising both the quality of support provided and the strength of leadership and governance.
Our approach is trauma‑informed and needs‑led. We recognise that individuals require different levels of support at different times, and we tailor provision accordingly from low‑level assistance through to enhanced, specialist and therapeutic support where required. Care is always proportionate, flexible and shaped around the individual’s needs, risks and outcomes.
As a community interest company, we reinvest into our workforce, training and service development to ensure high standards of care are maintained in a sustainable and responsible way. We work closely with families, local authorities and NHS partners, including NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC), to agree the most appropriate support model for each person.
Enquiries and discussions are welcomed to explore how support can be tailored safely and effectively.
