About Us

Hart Care Residential Home is a home in the area of Yelverton, which can accommodate just under 55 residents - it has a 'Good' rating from the CQC. Care can be provided for those with dementia. Hart Care Residential Home also offers the following short stay services; respite care, intermediate care and rehabilitation.
A snapshot of recent news;
• We received a second consecutive Good rating from Care 4 Quality, who we use for independent and impartial reviews on our service.
• We have completed work on a new addressable fire system, giving an improved system for the whole care home, this alongside regular drills and training with the staff has been reassuring for both residents and their families should there be an emergency.
• 5 new refurbished rooms have been re-opened on our top floor, with fantastic views of the Tors, all of these rooms are en-suite and perfect for anyone who needs support with their daily living but also wish to maintain as much independence as they can. These rooms are quiet, peaceful and give that wonderful home from home feel with the reassurance that there are staff on call 24 hours a day should any assistance be needed.
• A new experienced deputy, Karen Honey who will work with Kelly to continue the good work and keep making improvements around the care home, they work very well together and have the same ideas and beliefs when it comes to making the home and wonderful place to not only live in but to work in too.
• We have fully staffed team of carers, senior carers and team leaders which have continued our fantastic record of not using agency staff for over 18 months now, this really helps us to bring that consistency to our residents and visiting professionals, this is also really good for the residents families as they always see familiar faces and are able to get regular updates on their loved one when they need it.
• We have recently recruited a new activity co-ordinator who has worked for us in a different capacity since last November, she has some very exciting ideas and plans up her sleeve.
• We have received lots of good feedback from local authority teams and other professionals who come into the home, this is something we will strive to maintain to help us continue the all-round care we are so proud to say we provide!
